The Hong Kong Brands and Products Expo has been a popular outdoor expo in Hong Kong since 1938. The 49th Hong Kong Brands & Products Expo was held from 19 December 2014 to 5 January 2015 at the Victoria Park, Causeway Bay. Featuring famous brands and quality products from Hong Kong and overseas, local citizens and tourists enjoy great fun at the fair in the festive season.

For five consecutive years, City Security has been appointed as the official event security services provider for the Expo. Being one of the market leaders in providing crowd management, close protection and ticketing services to the events markets, City Security provides high quality and well-managed security and ticketing services to the event organizer and all exhibitors.

Luxurious boutique store ISA celebrated its 40th anniversary on 15 November at the Hankou Centre flagship store in Tsim Sha Tsui. Famous celebrities Michelle Yim, Charmaine Sheh, Alex Fong and well-known musician Mark Lui were invited to attend the ceremony.

The debut of “MEMORIGIN x Mark Lui The Time Machine Tourbillon” timepiece featured by the famous Hong Kong watch brand MEMORIGIN was also made on that day. The Tourbillion watches were exclusively sold at ISA boutiques.

Our Special Duty Unit was deployed to site to carry out VIP escort, access control and crowd control duties for this special event. Prior to this event, our Operations team and Safety team had several consultations with the client and studied the rundown thoroughly to ensure the security solution offered was professional and of optimum quality.

This year's NTS Best Security Personnel Awards Ceremony was held on 10 November at the Tsuen Wan Town Hall. Among over thousands of nominations received, over 400 security personnel who came from commercial, industrial or residential security sector were being selected by the panel committee and received the “Excellent”, “Outstanding” or “Best” award.

Japan’s multi-label store Collect Point opened its first flagship store at the prestigious shopping mall – Mira Mall in Tsim Sha Tsui. This flagship store is a stretch of pure shopping bliss that spreads over an area of 10,000 square feet. Collect Point carries Japanese causal wear labels such as LOWRYS FARM, Heather, JEANSIS, HARE, GLOBAL WORK, etc.

With effect from October 2014, City Security undertook the retail security services for Collect Point. City Security is an established retail security specialist with a dedicated retail division working in partnership with some of the biggest retail names. We developed a series of prevention measures that reduce potential losses and threats.

The 2014 HKSAR Charity Football Invitation Tournament, organized by the Hong Kong Metropolitan Sports Events Association Limited, is a Hong Kong-wide tournament. The Chief Executive Cup Finals took place at the Mong Kok Stadium on 26 Oct 2014. Each invited team was paired up with a beneficiary non-governmental organization as partner. It is believed that this charitable event will infuse positive energy into our community, fostering social cohesion and community building.

Being responsible for the safety of government officials, guests and participants and crowd control, our safety team held several meetings with the organizers to better understand the rundown and manpower requirement so as to optimize the safety level at every stage.

YATA department store offers a one-stop shopping experience to customers by procuring high quality products and famous brands from Japan. The business keeps expanding and YATA opened its seventh store at APM, Kwun Tong in September 2014.

City Security is pleased to undertake the store security services with effect from September 2014. One of our main objectives is to protect the safety and well-being of both customers and employees in the retail establishment and to prevent financial damage caused by shoplifting, robbery or similar dangers. Our security personnel endeavoured their best to ensure the property and assets are in safe hands.

The “Special Duty Unit” Training Programme was first launched by the Employees Retraining Board in 2013. The Programme aims at recruiting teenagers aged between 18 years old to 24 years old to join the workforce of high-end property management and security fields. Among the 78 selected candidates last year, 76 of them were directly employed by security and property management companies upon completion of the course, reaching the successful rate of 97%.

Due to overwhelming response received last year, the Employees Retraining Board launched the programme again this year. City Security participated in this project for the first time and is in a positive manner of recruiting more talented calibres to join the industry.

The Birthday of Confucius falls on the twenty-seventh day of the eighth lunar month. Each year, the Hong Kong Confucian Academy hosts the Confucius Birthday Ceremony, inviting renowned scholars from around the world to participate in the celebration of the birth of Confucius. The ceremony was held on 20 Sep 2014 this year at the Victoria Park, Causeway Bay.

City Security was appointed as the official security services provider for this event, responsible for the safety of the officiating guests and crowd control. Our security team met with the representatives of the Hong Kong Confucian Academy to understand the nature and scope of the event. We then tailored an event security response based on the client’s need and the realm of circumstances surrounding the event.

Our security personnel walk all areas of the premises and monitor activity in all common areas so that the arriving cruise passengers, visitors and local residents could have a pleasant and safe shopping experience at this premier shopping destination in Asia.

Bathe offers a wide range of stylishly simple bath and body care products based on the idea of natural goodness. The retail Bathe store was formally launched at Causeway Bay, the most vibrant district nearly Times Square in Hong Kong on 18 July, 2014. Local celebrity Ms. Eliza Sam was invited to be the guest–of–honour to inaugurate the opening and conducted the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

City provided VIP protection, access control and crowd control services during the grand opening. Our operations team had thorough consultation with the client to ensure the security services provided was of optimum quality in even detail.

DBS Bank (Hong Kong) is a leading financial services group in Asia with a network of over 25 branches spread over Hong Kong.

City Security is honored to provide professional security and monitoring services to DBS’s Security Commaned Centre effective May 2014. All security personnel stationing at the Control Centre are rigorously chosen and have undergone a series of professional trainings to ensure their skills and service quality are up to client’s standard.

Through the advanced remote monitoring and management system, our security professionals assisted in monitoring multiple workstations and various branches simultaneously. An experienced operations team has been formed to maintain close contact with DBS and to ensure that any contingent issues will be resolved in a speedy manner.

The Consumer Council is going to hold a series of events to mark its 40th Anniversary this year; one of which was the cocktail reception held at the Harbour Grand Hong Kong hotel on 7 April 2014.

The highly successful Danish global jewelry brand PANDORA held its free bracelet marketing campaign at eight retail outlets in Hong Kong on 2 Mar and 3 Mar 2014. Customers received a free barrel clasp bracelet upon purchase of a certain amount.

Following the shopping mall security guarding contract awarded in 2012, City continues to provide professional security services for various exhibitions held at the Hysan Place. From Nov 2013 to Jan 2014, the On Stage exhibitions were held at the Hysan Place Ground floor, 1/F and Hysan Place Office Lobby at 9/F. Tribute was paid to remarkable Hong Kong fashion designers. The Kai Chiu Road entrance showcased handcrafted Cheongsams where the Office Lobby displayed a series of fascinating antique and modern furniture.

Security personnel were deployed to station at various posts to ensure client’s properties were secured from all kinds of suspicious activities including vandalism and theft.

Situated on 32-40 Wellington Street, Central, the 11-storey building was rebuilt in 1978. Yung Kee Building houses the present restaurant as well as the KEE Club and Yung Club on the 6th and 8th floor.
